September 19, 2006  |  Türkmen Cem CANSU

Internationally recognized "master" and one of the world's most famous Italian designers Vico Magistretti died at age 85.

He born in 1920, trained in architecture at the "Politecnico di Milano" (1940-1945) like many important Italian designers & turned to design during Italy's postwar "reconstruction" period.

He gained an international reputation in the 60's for his design such as the selene chairof 1966, made by artemide.
