1st International Congress of Design: Design, Art and New Technologies

The Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas (ISCE) organizes the Ist International Congress of Design, which subject focus on Design, Art and New Technologies: Ways, Exchanges and Frontiers.
The carrying out of this International Congress substantiates on the importance that technic and technology have been assuming in every sociocultural life area, with great enphasis in Design and Art.
It's pressing, in this International Congress to research, debate and reflect on these two epistemologic axis so close and simultaneosly so far-off: Design and Art, because as said by Pierre Francastel : "(...)It was in the work of Art that was first expressed the new conscience of the modern times (...)".
We invite the researchers, on this International Congress's scope, to propose radical changes or a number of smaller significance changes on theory and the practice associated to design, art and new technologies.
This International Congress leans over scientific and technical aspects that aim to design and professional practices alternatives associated to design's epistemology.
