2006 Design Innovation Award Winners

2006 Design Innovation Award Winners

October 10, 2006  |  Jigs

Eight of the best jewellery designers have been awarded the prestigious Design Innovation Award with the winning pieces showcased at International Jewellery London.

This year, in tune with its increasing maturity, the Design Innovation Award has been judged under a new two-part system which recognises designers with more than five year's experience (Established Designers) and those with less than five years (Emerging Designers).

This continues to strengthen the Award's intention to encourage young designers, but gives place to those who have been working for a longer period.

Both categories yielded exciting and innovative work, proving once again that jewellery designers in the UK are leading the world.

The winners were selected by a distinguished panel of eight judges including renowned jewellery designer Stephen Webster, Gary Williams of Bien Passionate Jewellery (B&N), Ruth Donaldson from the Platinum Guild International, Fraser King from sponsoring company Lonmin, Nick Fitch from Nicholas James, Lee Southey from The National Magazine Company, Jyoti Trivedi of Johnson Matthey and Nicole Cooper, publisher of the Platinum Collection.

The eight winners will receive their award at a lavish ceremony at London's modern hotel design icon, The Hempel.
