Michela O'Connor Abrams, President and Publisher of Dwell LLC, has announced the appointment of Sam Grawe to the position of Editor-in-Chief of Dwell. Mr. Grawe, 29, who has been with the media company since October of 2000, will assume the post effective today.
"There is no more natural a fit than Sam Grawe for the position of Editor-in-Chief," says O'Connor Abrams. "As one of our founding voices, Sam has an inherent understanding of the Dwell mission, the vitality of our brand platforms, and our goals going forward. "Working at Dwell has been the most exciting, compelling, and fulfilling job
I can imagine," says Mr. Grawe, "I am thrilled at the prospect of continuing my work here as Editor-in-Chief, leading our extremely talented creative team, and furthering Dwell's ongoing exploration of the vital issues facing modern architecture and design."
The appointment of a new Editor-in-Chief at Dwell comes during the height of the media company's most successful year to date. Revenue is up 70% across all brand platforms for 2006 over 2005. Advertising pages through October of this year, as measured by PIB, were at 1,005.56 over 811.72 pages for the same period in 2005 - an increase of 23.9%.
