Maria Kinas Won the Dressing Codes Competition by Domus Academy

The fifth edition of Dressing Codes - the competition organised by Domus Academy and Future Concept Lab and supported by Deborah Group, intended to confront itself for the first time with a real dedicated production.
Dressing Codes Competition jury selected the first 3 winners and 6 special awards among numerous works sent from all over the world.
The jury composed of:
- Sofia Bonetti and Cecilia Schena (Deborah Group)
- Francesco Morace and Valentina Ventrelli (Future Concept Lab)
- Mario Trimarchi (Fragile)
- Barbara Trebitsch and Brunella Caccaviello (Domus Academy)
The projects (more or less 50) were all rich in stimuli and innovative interpretations of the brand Deborah through creative views, often special and of great impact.
The jury unanimously awarded the first prize to Maria Kinas, Australia, who has developed a particularly profound thesis on the brand, highlighting in its identity a strong masculine component, apart from the feminine one. Maria Kinas' work stroke the attention of he jury for its cultural richness, its interdisciplinary and for the originality of the realized accessories.
First Prize
Maria Kinas - AUSTRALIA
Maria Kinas, Australia, who has developed a particularly profound thesis on the brand, highlighting in its identity a strong masculine component, apart from the feminine one. Maria Kinas' work stroke the attention of he jury for its cultural richness, its interdisciplinary and for the originality of the realized accessories.
Second Prize
Trishawna Quincy - UNITED STATES
Second prize awarded to Trishawna Quincy, USA, who has developed a collection of accessories and underwear starting from the chromatic spirit of the brand, through a research of interesting textile prints.
Third Prize - Ex-Aequo
Gulum Ipek Terzi - TURKEY
Gulum Ipek Terzi played with irony on the Deborah theme proposing a "Harem Team" collection and has realized a range of effective products.
Third Prize - Ex-Aequo
Navamani Geimeier - SWITZERLAND
Navamani Geimeier has interpreted with great sophistication the future of the brand, working on the logo with a particularly refined approach.
