The Young Asian Designers Award 2005This award replaces the Young Designers Award. It has three principal aims.
to recognize the potential creative talents in Asian designers.
to encourage the application of Asian culture and understanding in design.
to elevate design standards in Asia by applying rigorous judging criteria upheld by renowned international designers in their respective fields.
The YADA award is an important stepping stone to a promising career in the design industry in Asia.
The top prize for the award is the Young Asian Designer of the Year and it is worth S$15,000.
There are are also individual awards for each of the 5 categories such as Graphic, Packaging, Product, New Media and Interior Design. YADA is only open to students in Asia and does not include the countries in Oceania.
