Toshiba Product Design Contest : Hard Disk Drive RevolutionToshiba Europe has today launched a design competition to find a perfect concept design for Toshiba's tiny 0.85-inch hard drive.
The 'Hard Disk Drive Revolution' design competition will see winning designers from design universities and design houses going head to head while Toshiba decides on what will be the winning creation.
The hard drive itself is the first drive to have achieved multi-gigabyte data storage at a sub-one-inch size.
It's absolutely tiny, being the size of a £1 coin.
The idea behind it is supposedly for accelerating innovation in "small, powerful digital products by delivering high storage capacities essential for next generation applications."
