CA Boom 3The second year of CA Boom, a contemporary design show held July 28-31, was a model of success as nearly 5,000 architects, designers, retail buyers, design enthusiasts and novices walked through the trade/consumer show at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica, California.
CA Boom producer/creator Charles Trotter said, "I am so proud of the 70 exhibitors and 18 home tour architects who were involved with the event.
Trotter has new plans for the next show, including moving up the event to the first week of spring, March 23 to March 26, 2006; once again in Santa Monica.
CA Boom 3 is also expecting to double the exhibitor base by creating several new areas of the show, including an area reserved exclusively for designers and manufacturers of prefabricated dwellings.
For example, this event will be the first public viewing and walk-though of the kitHAUS - K1 Module, a pre-fab modular housing system designed by Tom Sandonato and Martin Wehmann.
CA Boom 3 will also have a new "First-Timers Section" exclusively for independent contemporary designers and manufacturers who will show a limited line for the first time.
