Industry Panel Focuses Attention for 'Eyes On Design'Visteon Corporation will join the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology in hosting an "Eyes On Design" industry panel discussion on interior and exterior design. The panel will consist of design experts from the College for Creative Studies, automakers and suppliers. The focus will be on interior design and interior fits and finishes.
Today, purchase decisions are complex. Automotive consumers want value that's defined by style, innovative technology, quality, performance inside and out, and price. The panel discussion of "Eye Catching Design" will speak to interior design and the interior fits and finishes. Panelists will describe the role of the design school, the automaker and the supplier in meeting consumer expectations for interiors. Automotive design is truly a blending of art and science bringing innovation and style to consumers in one package.
The panel for "Eye Catching Design" will include: Joe Dehner, design director for DaimlerChrysler; Irme Molnar, Dean, College for Creative Studies; and Mark West, design director, Visteon Corporation. John McElroy will moderate the panel as they discuss the industry's focus on attention to interior detail and the impact of design on manufacturing.
The luncheon begins at 11:00 a.m.; brief presentations and a panel discussion begin at 11:30.
