Radebaugh: The Future We Were PromisedThe National Automotive History Collection, Detroit Public Library
Curated by the New York-based Palace Of Culture, this exhibition features the recently rediscovered works of futuristic illustrator Arthur Radebaugh. Based in Detroit from the 1930s to 1960s, Radebaugh worked as a commercial illustrator for Chrysler and Coca-Cola. His work, which anticipated design revolutions in the automotive industry, was once described as "halfway between science fiction and designs for modern living."
Opens July 19 Through October 22.
