Furniture Design Award (FDA)Organized annually by SFIC, the Furniture Design Award (FDA) seeks to nurture budding design talents and innovative design firms for Singapore and the region. It also acts as the platform for constructive design exchange as well as the launch pad for creative and innovative designs in Asia.
FDA 2005 will be held in conjunction with one of Asia's top furniture shows, International Furniture Fair Singapore 2005/22nd ASEAN Furniture Show (IFFS/AFS), from 1-5 March 2005 at the Singapore Expo. The design-focused IFFS/AFS 2005 is the perfect arena for FDA2005, with both events sharing an East-meets-West theme and capitalizing on Singapore's positioning as a design hub.
There are three categories :
Students Category - Open to all students studying in any local institution in Singapore
Young Designers Category - Open to all in the Asia Pacific region under the age of 35 as at 1 March 2005
Open Category - Open to all international entries from companies or individuals. Product must be already commercialised in the market.
