AgustaWestland announced that the first two helicopters fitted with Versace-styled interiors have been delivered to their customers during an official ceremony held at its Vergiate plant.
The two aircraft comprising a Grand light twin turbine engine helicopter featuring a black and white interior and paint scheme and an AW109 Power light twin with a grey-coloured Versace-styled interior, ordered by Ioan Tiriac Air of Romania and Elimarca of Italy respectively, were formally accepted by the customers.
AgustaWestland and leading Italian fashion design house Versace first announced their collaboration to offer AgustaWestland's customers a range of exclusively designed cabin interiors for its helicopters in 2007.
Following the launch of the Grand with Versace styled interior and paint scheme in 2007, AgustaWestland and Versace further strengthened their collaboration in February this year adding the AW139 to the range of helicopters to offer an even wider range of design solutions to provide the most luxurious and stylish helicopter interiors.

OSRAM and celebrated lighting designer Ingo Maurer have unveiled a revolutionary lighting application based on organic LEDs (OLEDs) at the Light+Building Fair in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
Ingo Maurer is the first to use OLEDs from OSRAM in a functioning table light.
The limited-edition light, known as "Early Future," shines with tiles directly from the OSRAM laboratory and demonstrates the enormous potential of using OLEDs to create future applications with eye-catching illumination and design elements.
OSRAM Opto Semiconductors made prototypes of organic light emitting diodes available to the designer for his exclusive creation.
"We are proud that our OLEDs have inspired such a renowned artist as Ingo Maurer to create such an exciting work of art.
'Early Future' is a vision that has become reality. It gives us a glimpse of just how versatile organic OLEDs can be in terms of their design options and applications," said Martin Goetzeler, CEO of OSRAM.
Ingo Maurer used OLED tiles with an area of 132 x 33 millimeters for his creation.
For Maurer, unusual design is not an end in itself.
"'Early Future' represents an important stage in the transition from abstract object to functional designer lighting," he said.

Outlandish motorcycle designer Philippe Starck, the man behind such 'memorable' motorcycling carbuncles as the Aprilia Moto 6.5 and the Voxan Starck Cafe Racer Super Naked has made a string of amazingly frank revelations about his work.
Speaking to German magazine Die Zeite at the weekend, Starck said: "All that I created is absolutely useless.
From a structural point of view, the design is completely useless.
"I created things so much without them really interesting me.
I was a producer of materiality. I have shame in what I have done."
