 Renault and Biotherm Present ZOE Z.E.Biotherm, the skin care company in L'Oreal's Luxury Products division, has joined forces with Renault to develop an all-new 100% electric "spa" concept car, ZOE Z.E.Aimed at people making daily local trips and looking for a car that brings them health and well- being, ZOE Z.E. concept, with its premium and fully personalizable cabin, is a preview of the Renault production vehicle set for launch in 2012. ZOE Z.E., a 100% electric, zero-emission city car, is for men and women who want to take care of the environment while taking care of themselves - even behind the wheel. The roof has been designed as an intelligent protective membrane that insulates against heat and cold, optimizes climate control, and recovers energy using honeycomb photovoltaic cells.  New Rieju RS3 to be Unveiled in MilanRieju has announced that it will unveil the replacement for their RS2 range of small capacity sports bikes at the EICMA 2009 International Motorcycle Show in Milan on November 9.The new RS3 will have its official press unveiling at the EICMA 2009 International Motorcycle Show in Milan where the brand new model will take centre stage. From November 10-15, in Hall 6 stand L18 of the Milano Fiera, this exciting new motorcycle will be shown to the public for the first time. Rieju has developed this completely new 'ground up design' working in collaboration with two of Europe's leading motorcycle design and development companies, ArianeTech Ingenierķa and Xenophya Design. An evolution of the original RS concept, the new RS3 combines sport bike technology with comfort and versatility aimed squarely at the youth market. These images give a glimpse into the design process; including design studies and sketches, photos from the clay model construction process and CAD images.  Robert Brunner and Ammunition: Design Museum TalkIn this detailed and insightful lecture, industrial designer and product development entrepreneur Robert Brunner will talk about the ethos and achievements behind Ammunition, the San Francisco based multidisciplinary design company he founded in 2007.After graduating in industrial design from San Jose State University in 1981, Robert co-founded the design consultancy Lunar. Subsequently, he was hired as Director of Industrial Design for Apple Computers where he served for 7 years. In 1996, he was appointed partner in the international firm Pentagram, helping lead the San Francisco office. In 2007 he founded Ammunition which he continues to lead till the present day.  Nomad Wheelchairs Wins Design Management Europe AwardA disabled man who set up a company making wheelchairs because he was frustrated with the lack of choice available to users has won an award.Mark Owen and his brother Jon established Nomad in Ciliau Aeron, near Lampeter, just six months ago. The pair scooped a Design Management Europe (DME) prize, beating companies from France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium. It is believed to be the first mobility company to win a DME award. The brothers picked up the award at a ceremony in Eindhoven, in the Netherlands, after winning the "first time design project" category for their wheelchairs. more news.bb...
