 PDT Wins Two Prestigious Design AwardsProduct Development Technologies (PDT) has been honored with two 2008 GOOD DESIGN Awards.Both the Fellowes Galaxy Comb Binding Machine and the Medela 2008 Core Line Breastpump Bags have been recognized as being two of the worlds most innovative and cutting-edge product designs produced in 2008.  Bean Rockers Score Another Win for Knoend With the 2009 iF Product Design AwardKnoend recently won the 2009 iF product design award for the bean rockers series of rocking seats.The award is Knoend's second prominent design award received after the lite2go lamp won a Bronze IDEA award in 2008. This year, 802 products were awarded the coveted iF product design award out of 2,808 entries submitted from 39 different countries. The bean rockers were honored in the category of Home Furniture. Along with the other winners for the year, they will be featured permanently on the iF award website, published in the 2009 iF yearbook, and will also be displayed at the iF Design Exhibition at the Hannover Exhibition Center from March through August in 2009. The iF exhibition draws an annual 250,000 to 300,000 visitors. The bean rockers feature a clean aesthetic and ergonomic design with consideration for health, posture, and breathing. The rocking seats are designed to encourage shifting of posture and position in order to alleviate the stress and adverse health effects on the body caused by stagnancy in seating.  Jaguar Design Chief Enjoys Freedom of Tata OwnershipJaguar's management is "entirely relaxed" about the prospect of the carmaker's takeover by India's Tata group and believes it will allow Jaguar and Land Rover - which is also part of the sale - to develop unfettered, one of the luxury car maker's most senior executives told the Financial Times.Ian Callum, the director of design who is responsible for the new XF and XK model ranges that carry Jaguar's hopes of returning to profitability, said: "We have shown Tata our new model lines and the planned product cycle.
