 Greengaged at the Design CouncilA fantastic mix of speakers to challenge the design industry on sustainability at The London Design Festival - from chemists to magicians, engineers to entrepreneurs.The programme is announced today for greengaged, the festival's sustainable design hub, running from 15th- 23nd September 2008, at the Design Council in Covent Garden, London. greengaged will explore a different theme in sustainable design each weekday of The London Design Festival. It brings together free debates, seminars, workshops, excursions and exhibitions. Innovative and inspiring speakers include: scientists, engineers, designers, business people, educators, publishers, activists and architects.  Dream: The Idea of Future in Italian Car DesignFrom now until November 23, 2008, the well-lit arcades of Padiglione Giovanni Agnelli di Torino Esposizioni will showcase a selection of over 50 car design masterpieces in the exhibition "Dream: The idea of future in Italian car design".Related audiovisual material, including virtual reality presentations, will be shown in the three surrounding rooms to describe the design process from the first pencil stroke to the start of industrialisation of the model.  P&D Design 2008: 8th Brazilian Conference on Design Research and DevelopmentP&D Design - Brazilian Conference of Design Research and Development - is a biannual event that intends to promote the discussion about design research and education.This scientific event, currently the biggest design conference in Latin America, is an important forum for spreading and discussing prominent questions in this area, either resultant of applied or basic research. The first edition of this conference was held in 1994, in Sao Paulo city, organized by UNIP (Paulista University), AEnD-BR (the Brazilian Association for Design Education) and the journal Estudos em Design (Design Studies). This first edition had the participation of 24 institutions of design education and research, represented by researchers from eight Brazilian states and international guests.
