Ammunition Extends Partnership with Dr. Dre and Monster

Following the hugely popular launch of Beats by Dr Dre headphones with iconic hip-hop producer Dr. Dre and leading audio manufacturer Monster Cable last fall, renowned Ammunition Founder Robert Brunner again brings the same high levels of industrial design to their latest major additions.

The new "Beats Solo" and new stylish white version of its flagship Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones represent a continuing commitment to bringing high levels of design and sound technology to the personal audio space.

Ammunition's high concept design and attention to detail is evident in the Beats Solo, which marries great Beats sound and design at an SRP of $179.95.

The new Beats Solo over-ear headphones offer users an ideal Beats by Dr. Dre headphone experience, delivering the sonic power and audio realism of higher priced models in a stylish, lightweight and smaller version.

Additionally, the flagship Beats by Dr. Dre Studio headphones' on-trend white version will continue to deliver the same high-powered audio experience as its sister product.

Living Details Esa Vesmanen

Living Details: Esa Vesmanen

On Thursday 10 September, interior architect Esa Vesmanen (Pure Design Oy) will open his Living Details exhibition at Design Forum Finland in Helsinki.

The exhibits combine modern, Nordic minimalist design with natural, living details, such as water, fire and even music.

Living Details includes new LED lamps, tables made of recycled plastics and divans for cooling off.

"I construct the environment from the basic elements of life, light and matter," says Esa Vesmanen.

"I want to arouse feelings by combining the modern and the time-honoured tradition with enduring materials.

The strongest aesthetic experience - when you feel shivers down your spine - comes from the interaction when details, materials and space touch you.

I feel it is the task of designers to experiment and take risks.

That is the only way to create new ideas and products needed by society. There has to be daring.

As a sailing enthusiast, I could say that a boat is safe when it is in the harbour, but that's not what it was made for," notes Esa Vesmanen.

Esa Vesmanen wants to lead the visitors to the exhibition to view and experience the environment in new ways.

The exhibition with the finalists and winners of the Dutch Design Awards 2008 (DDA) is travelling to Design Yatra in India.

Design Yatra is a four day design conference and will take place in Mumbai from 3 till 7 September.

More than 40 examples of excellent Dutch Design will be presented to the mainly professional visitors at the DDA exhibition, that represents the products and ideas of designers such as Richard Hutten, Christien Meindertsma, Hella Jongerius and Philips Design.

BNO's aim is to establish collaboration between designers in India and the Netherlands.

The project is commissioned by EVD, the agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

Subsequent to the trade mission, the Dutch Design, Fashion & Architecture (DutchDFA) programme establishes a broad presentation about Dutch architecture and design, which also includes the exhibition of DDA.
