 PhilippeBecker Designs Unique Packaging for T-Mobile myTouch 3GPhilippeBecker, a San Francisco branding and packaging agency, today announced its role in designing the packaging graphics and in-box collateral for the T-Mobile myTouch 3G, as well as the graphics and packaging structure for the complete line of accessories.PhilippeBecker partnered with Momentum Product Design to design the packaging structure for the accessory line. The T-Mobile myTouch 3G is the follow-up to the T-Mobile G1, the world's first Android-powered device. myTouch 3G empowers users to create a unique, individualized experience on their phone, inside and out, through various applications and accessories. PhilippeBecker created three unique collage designs which wrap around the device's box - one for each color of the phone which is available in black, white and merlot. Each artistic collage, which folds out into a poster, is wrapped around a reusable zipper pouch containing the myTouch 3G phone, product manuals and several accessories. "We created artwork that conveys the emotional benefits of this innovative phone to help convey a truly personalized experience," said Philippe Becker, Creative Director. "As customers unbox their myTouch for the first time, they'll be rewarded by the entire premium experience, discovering the depth of the full collage printed on the inside of the sleeve."  Call for Creative Design: Impressions of China National Centre for the Performing ArtsThe organisers of the Icograda World Design Congress 2009 Beijing announced the call for Creative Design: Impressions of China National Centre for the Performing Arts.On October 26, China's National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) will be home to 2000 design professionals, educators and students for the opening ceremony, keynote presentations, award presentations and international design exhibitions of the Icograda World Design Congress 2009 Beijing. To mark this special event, the Congress organisers will launch a programme calling for creative designs based on the theme "Impressions of China National Centre for the Performing Arts." As an important component of the Congress, the programme calls for exclusive art and design work from around the globe for NCPA's collection and souvenir development purposes. Successful entries will be collected and exhibited at NCPA, a platform of international art exchange. Furthermore, they will also be developed into souvenirs.  Pioneers of Change: a Festival of Dutch Design, Fashion and ArchitectureA festival of Dutch design, fashion and architecture on New York's Governors Island to celebrate a 400-year Dutch-American friendship.Conceived and curated by Renny Ramakers, co-founder and director of Droog, as part of the NY400 week celebrations, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the arrival of the Dutch to New York. Pioneers of Change highlights a more responsible and sustainable approach to living by celebrating the blurring of low- and high-brow, establishing new collaborations, encouraging involvement, emphasizing sustainability and valuing handcraft and the local context. Over the course of two long weekends from September 11 through September 20, Pioneers of Change will showcase a modern interpretation on Dutch art and design. The exhibit will utilize several former officers' houses in Nolan Park on Governors Island, where visitors can listen and debate, watch and participate, relax and think, eat and drink, play music, be inspired, connect and, simply, enjoy.
