The Biennial of Industrial Design (BIO) is a comparative international exhibition of industrial design, visual communications and design concepts.
On 2nd October 2008 the 21st Biennial of Industrial Design will open at the Architecture Museum of Ljubljana.
The works presented at BIO 21 will be carefully selected and critically evaluated.
BIO Secretariat issued an invitation for participation in the exhibition, and the Selection Committee will select the works to be exhibited.
Before the inauguration of BIO 21 an international Jury will review and evaluate the selected and exhibited products, visual communications and design concepts and bestow the Biennial's awards.

The Design Management Institute (DMI) announced five new additions to its seminar program and schedule for 2008, with a total of 12 seminars and 23 sessions.
DMI seminars enable design, marketing, and business professional to bridge the design and business gap and become key drivers of organizational success.
Content will cover sustainable design, innovation, research, strategy, methods, brand, management, and development.
Sessions will be led by leaders in the professional field and education.

For the 47 Salone Internazionale del Mobile, FDVLAB with the support of the Settore Sport e Tempo Libero city council member Giovanni Terzi, will realize 14 design events interpreted and expressed through the language of different disciplines: architecture, design, photography, multimedia, video, dance and contemporary art.

Material ConneXion, the leading global resource for material solutions and innovations, is expanding its global reach in Asia with the establishment of its fourth international licensee, this one in Daegu Metropolitan City, Korea.
Scheduled to open in June 2008, it will occupy the third-floor of the newly built Daegu Gyeongbuk Design Center (DGDC), a twelve-story building dedicated to design and color.
