Design Camp 2007The Design Institute has hosted Design Camp for teens annually since summer 2002, with generous support from Target Corporation.
Nearly 500 teens have participated in this lively program, in which they gain hands-on experience of design for everyday life activities, choosing one of six different workshops.
Taught by guest instructors in teams that pair leading international designers with University of Minnesota faculty, Design Camp introduces students to the varied career choices available in the wide field of design.
Camp will be held July 30- August 3 this year.
This year's theme is: School Design.
Each of our six workshops will focus on redesigning some aspect of the school.
Workshops include: Schooling, Gearing, Parading, Gaming, Telling and Sporting.
