2008 Lite-On AwardsLite-On Awards, the largest-scale industrial design competition in Greater China Community, has launched the 8th annual competition.
Chinese and international designers are all invited to submit entries before March 24, 2008 via online application.
The total cash awards are amounted to NTD$1.29M.
Sponsored by Lite-On Technology Corporation since 2001, Lite-On Awards is an industrial design competition created for young design talents to advance their creativity and innovation.
In the past seven years, Lite-On Awards has attracted more than 7,300 contestants and entries.
Some competition winners have further been awarded by the global top 3 design awards, iF Awards, Red Dot Awards, and IDEA Awards.
The main theme of 2008 Lite-On Awards is "A Day of Digital Life", which is to encourage young designers to create innovative 4C (Computer, Communication, Consumer Electronics, and Car electronics) products to help people's daily life in the digital world.
New and promising designers from Chinese community and other countries throughout the world are all invited to participate as individuals or as teams (of no more than three persons in each team).
