Red Dot Winner Sells Design Concept to Swedish Furniture ManufacturerFor ADDI, a new Swedish design agency, the New Year has begun as successfully as the last one ended.
Just back in November 2007, the designers and ADDI founders, Johan Malmquist, Andreas Karlsson and Eric Therner, celebrated their achievement at the red dot award: design concept in Singapore and barely two months later they had already sold their excellent design concept "Stick To Me" to Mitab, the Swedish furniture manufacturer.
"Stick To Me" is a clothes stand, with clothes hooks in the shape of horses' hooves.
This style was inspired by the climbing devices used by workers in Swedish telecommunications companies to climb telephone poles.
The hooks are covered with recycled car tyre rubber and can simply be attached at any height on the clothes stand.
In addition, they can be turned 360 degrees around the stand and can be inserted in any desired position.
As the height of the clothes hooks are adjustable as desired, the clothes stand can be used by adults as well as children.
The design concept of the simple stand exudes intelligence as well as elegance.
Clothes hooks and stands are available in various colours, making numerous colour combinations possible.
The "Stick To Me" clothes stand becomes an individually designed furniture item.
ADDI has found a competent partner in Mitab, a furniture manufacturer from Tranas, Sweden, with more than 20 years' experience in successful furniture design to their credit.
Mitab will sell the innovative clothes stand from Summer 2008 and will present it at all the major trade fairs before then.
