Design Thinking: New Challenges for Designers, Managers and OrganizationsThe Design Management Institute (DMI, Thomas Lockwood), in collaboration with Lancaster University, UK, ESSEC Business School, France, and SDA Bocconi School of Management, Italy, are inviting researchers and practitioners from all fields to submit a paper proposal for the International DMI Education Conference, which will take place 14-15 April, 2008 at ESSEC Business School in Paris.
The title of the conference is "Design Thinking: New Challenges for Designers, Managers and Organizations."
The conference committee, chaired by Thomas Lockwood of DMI and supported by Sabine Junginger of Lancaster University, includes Rachel Cooper of Lancaster University, Herve Mathé of ESSEC Business School, Brigitte Borja de Mozota of Brunel University, and Gabriella Lajocono of SDA Bocconi School of Management.
We are interested in papers that contribute to theory building, provide examples of empirical research, or use case studies to illustrate how, when, and why designing turns into an organizational asset and a tool for managers.
This conference is open to members from academia, business, government agencies, and other researchers and practitioners whose work relates to the topic of design in the organization.
This conference will be a forum for the exchange of ideas, academic research models and best practices among academics and practitioners from across the world.
