Hot Glassmaking by Leading Designers in NYCThe Corning Museum of Glass brings the live glassmaking experience beyond the walls of the Museum in GlassLab, a new initiative that pairs master glassmakers with some of the most creative minds working in design today.
Created in collaboration with the Vitra Design Museum, GlassLab debuted at Design Miami in December 2007.
The event will take place at the Cooper-Hewitt and will feature designers Harry Allen, an interior designer whose projects range from the offices of Metropolis magazine and the Guggenheim New York to his own line of furniture called Living Systems; and husband and wife partners Laurene and Constantin Boym, who are known for their work with notable brands Alessi, Droog, Swatch, and Vitra.
In addition, Tobias Wong, Antenna Design, and Chad Philips of Kidrobot will also be a part of these design performances.
