The future of design is interactive maintain the students at the Ivrea school. Judging by the designs on show at the Triennale, they could be right. Amongst the more poetic of these was a device for writing e-mails by Aparna Rao. An old "Lettera 22" that adequately instructed can write emails and has been chosen by Olivetti for its museum.
On show also interactive wall paper that when touched can communicate with domestic appliances in the home, an inflatable cavern in which to leave your audio-graffiti, a new generation of interactive tables for breakfast and an old cinquecento that runs on mp3 files.
