The London Design Embassy - the ultimate meeting place for those connected with the London Design Festival, will be set up in the Terrace Rooms at Somerset House in a specially designed destination, created by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby of BarberOsgerby and supported by the London Development Agency and UK Trade & Investment.
The London Design Embassy will be open Monday 15 - Friday 19 September.
International VIP guests will be given complimentary membership of the Design Embassy, giving them access to exhibitions and shows during the 11-day Festival (13-23 September).
For international buyers, design VIPs connected with the Festival and members of the press, the London Design Embassy will be a comfortable and dynamic environment to organise meetings, relax, work and network.
A "concierge" service will be on hand to help visitors navigate their way through the wealth of destinations and activities offered by the London Design Festival.
Christine Losecaat is managing the London Design Embassy on behalf of the London Design Festival.
"We aim to provide opportunities for the UK design community to network with international visitors in an informal setting" she says.
A lounge and 'chill out' zone will be a popular rendezvous for visitors.
There are also boardrooms to hire, WiFi is available and complimentary tea, coffee and water will be on offer from Leith's.
