Ceramic Tiles of Italy Design Competition 2009

Ceramic Tiles of Italy announced the 2009 Ceramic Tiles of Italy Design Competition Call for Entries.

With hundreds of manufacturers producing elegant and innovative designs, Italian ceramic tile offers architects and designers a durable, versatile and design-driven material that is ideal for use in any project.

The Ceramic Tiles of Italy Design Competition, now in its 16th year, celebrates the outstanding work of North American architects and designers who feature Italian ceramic tiles in their institutional, residential or commercial / hospitality spaces.

For the 2009 edition, North American architects and interior designers are invited to submit domestic and international new construction and renovation projects completed between January 2004 and January 2009.

A panel of design experts will judge the projects based on their creativity, functionality and aesthetic appeal.

The official criterion for the jury includes: overall design of the project, innovative use of tile, tile design, quality of installation and degree that tile enhances the setting.
