Red Dot Award Design Concept 2009 Sees New Record Number of Entries

It came as a surprise in the face of the global crisis: the jury of the red dot award: design concept was enthusiastic about the number of design concepts submitted as well as their high quality.

While they received 1,906 entries from 49 nations last year, this year 2,723 concepts from 56 nations had to be assessed.

In the 20 different categories of the red dot award: design concept 2009, the jury determined 224 winners in total; 208 concepts received the award for high design quality, the red dot, and 16 entrants managed to win the sought-after red dot: best of the best.
