Foro Alfa: A New Space to Debate the Design in SpanishNorberto Chaves, Raul Belluccia and Luciano Cassisi have created a space for the reflection and the controversy on design in spanish: FORO ALFA.
It's a Web site that publishes theoretical and ideological articles about design and its bonds and incidence in social life, culture, the professional practice, its own education, etc.
"We thought there was a serious need for a place to debate deep and thoroughly on design, a space that design schools and universities do not fulfill totally", the publishers say.
"We hope that FORO ALFA will be a public space without interests nor borders, opened to the confrontation of all positions, even the most opposed, and that it will serve as consultation to professors, students and professionals."
Although FORO ALFA publishes the material by direct invitation, it also asks its readers to send texts, suggestions and commentaries, that will be published if they fulfill the required level and interest.
In addition to articles, FORO ALFA will present thematic lines of debate, that will be published when the authors start confronting their positions.
The first edition is online since 07/01/2005, with articles of André Ricard, Rubén Fontana, Yves Zimmermann, Oriol Pibernat, Anna Calvera and Mónica Pujol, among others.
