2006 Taiwan International Design CompetitionOrganized by Taiwan Design Center, Taiwan International Design is the most high-profile design competition in Taiwan.
Every year, a specific design theme is carefully chosen in response to the contemporary design phenomenon and global design issue.
In 2005, Taiwan International Design Competition attracted 1759 applications from 47 countries.
Furthermore, 5 prestigious design experts were invited to be the judging panels for the 2005 Taiwan International Design Competition.
They are Prof. Dr. Peter Zec, President of ICSID, Madame Anne-Marie Boutin, President of French A.P.C.I., Mr. David Fisher, Creative Director of Seymourpowell Design, Ms. Michelle Berryman, Executive Vice President of IDSA and Dr. Thomas Lockwood, Head of Design at Design Insight International and Storage Tek.
In 2006, The Taiwan Design Center invites entries for the 2006 Taiwan International Design Competition under the theme "NOMAD".
Nomadism is self-sustainable, follows the drift of tide and the fringe of the horizon.
Such a spirit is in consensus with the infinite creativity of designer, which can be demonstrated through the ultimate challenge of design.
Nowadays, the advancement of communication and technology has revised the migration pattern as well as altered modern working habits.
