Vitra Design Museum to Feature Workshops in FranceA country estate in Southwest France….is there a better way to while away your summer?
The Vitra Design Museum, in collaboration with Centre International de Recherche et d'Education Culturelle et Agricole and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, will offer summer workshops in Boisbuchet, France.
Running from the end of June through mid-September, the workshops will be led by renowned designers, architects, and artists.
This years roundup includes Humberto and Fernando Campana (Brazil), Alexander Brodsky (Russian Federation), Dinie Besems (Netherlands), Stephen Burks (USA), Brückner + Brückner Architects (Germany), and Ico Migliore (Italy). Courses-a total of 25 workshops on design, architecture and art-are seven to ten days long.
Topics include product design, exhibition design, architecture, jewelry design, graphic work, and art.
Experimental undertakings include a course led by New Zealand designer David Trubridge, who will focus on ecological design aspects.
