Milano Made in Design ExhibitThe iconic city of Milan continues to be recognized as one of the world's most powerful leaders in the design, fashion and manufacturing industries.
On May 19th, the Province of Milan and Milan Chamber of Commerce will unveil a unique and innovative travelling exhibit, designed to take New Yorkers through an experiential journey of the Milanese culture.
From design-minded companies like Prada and Artemide, Boffi to some of Milan's famed manufacturing industries; the Milano Made in Design exhibit boasts over 120 exceptional items, handpicked by an elite committee lead by the Director of the Institute of European Design, Aldo Colonetti.
As one of the cornerstones of the Meatpacking District Initiative, this multimedia installation will be open to the public from Friday, May 19th to Saturday, June 10th 2006 from 10:00am to 7:00pm.
"Through Milano Made in Design, we are giving Americans a taste of Milan in New York and communicating the passions, values and culture of our great city," said Filippo Penati, President of the Province of Milan.
The exhibit will showcase a series of in-depth displays that represent the city's vital elements, including its culture, people, design aesthetic and manufacturing industries.
