BIO 20: Preparing for an Exciting Autumn in DesignIn October, Fu�ine Castle in Ljubljana will host the 20th Biennial of Industrial Design.
BIO 20 is a comprehensive exhibition of well-designed products, visual communication and diverse design projects.
The exhibition aims at presenting the latest currents in contemporary design and those innovative designs that search for solutions to the problems of the present-day lifestyle.
Selected works in the exhibition are representative of sustainable development and social responsibility, meeting all the specific needs of their users.
The items on display were produced after 1 January 2004 and were not shown at BIO 19.
Efforts to support the event, which has a history of more than 40 years, have been successful.
The organising committee consists of Janez Škrabec, the president of Riko, along with other distinguished Slovene businessmen and designers.
The media sponsors of BIO 20 are RTV Slovenia and the newspaper Delo.
The organisers have put more emphasis on the quality level of foreign exhibits, selected by foreign professional institutions and individual experts.
Slovene entries will be assessed by an expert committee consisting of Edi Berk, Davorin Horvat, Ranko Novak, Almira Sadar, Branko Uršič and Fedja Vukić.
All entries must be submitted by 12 June.
The opening ceremony will take place on 5 Oct
