IIT Bombay Design Degree Show 2006Design Degree Show (DDS) is the annual exhibition and seminar, showcasing the design efforts of graduating students at the Industrial Design Center, IIT Bombay.
DDS is aimed at creating design awareness in society and simultaneously offers a platform for interaction for the graduating students with the industry.
This year, DDS 2006 is being held at IDC, IIT Bombay itself on the 10th, 11th and 12th of June'06.
The exhibition will consist of panels displaying the design solutions of graduating students.
Some panels are dedicated to show academic work and conceptual designs.
Spread over three days, the exhibition allows the general public as well as the industry to see the way design can make a difference to them.
It also allows for the industry and the students to freely interact, to think of ways in which their projects could be taken forward.
The Design Experience Seminar is a one-day seminar on various issues of design at DDS 2006.
This attracts a large number of practicing industry professionals.
Many professionals are invited to speak about their work, their design methodologies and also to share their ideas with people from various other fields.
Another highlight at DDS 2006 is the Design Meet, which is a meeting point for all designers.
