WMD studio announced the debut of their first premium product line for the bathroom sector. FOLLO is a combination of modern aesthetic and underlying function. This innovative washbasin system is an ideal solution for both commercial and domestic applications.
With a flexible range of units and sizes for different environments, FOLLO is perfect for modular system requirements or as a single sculptured showpiece. The linear aesthetics naturally follow the soft contours of the surface to create a stunning and unique visual impact, particularly suited to the environment and needs of style conscious hotels, clubs and cutting-edge developments.
Handcrafted form follows function; the design features shallow grooves to reduce standing water and Follo also allows toiletries to be placed on a surface which is easy to wipe down. The free flow design incorporates a generous bowl area to reduce splash, combining with a unique integrated drainage system within a slimline unit measuring under 7cm in height.
FOLLO is the first bathroom product designed by London based designer Will MacCormac. With solid experience in Interior design and having co-founded a British fashion label in his early career path, the move towards product design was a natural step. A childhood obsession with water may be a subconscious reason behind the decision to design bathroom products and ultimately one of the inspirations for FOLLO; the prediction of a growing design trend adopting linear forms was another.
Designed in London and produced in Italy, FOLLO is made from Cristalplant, the material of choice for premium bathroom brands - renowned for its soft natural appearance and durable finish. All Cristalplant products are injection molded resulting in a stronger unit and a long product guarantee. FOLLO is available in various sizes to suit, ranging from 100 to 180 cm in length and with different configurations. This system can be installed as either counter top/supported or wall hung*. The first edition will be available in classic white.
With a philosophy for understated design and original thinking, WMD Studio will expand their bathroom range for 2009, incorporating elegant solutions and the use of diverse materials ranging from carbon fibre to Japanese lacquer.
