Marmol Radziner Prefab Teams Up with Dwell Magazine's Dwell Homes Collection

A new partnership between award-winning architects Marmol Radziner Prefab and Dwell magazine, has spawned a dynamic series of standardized, eco-friendly modern prefab homes, as part of the new Dwell Homes Collection. By teaming with architects and prefab factories, the Dwell Homes Collection is a series of sustainable and standardized modern prefab homes unveiling at the 2009 Dwell on Design Conference & Exhibition, from June 26 to 28 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Marmol Radziner Prefab has created a line of standardized, prefab homes, the Skyline Series, specifically for the Dwell Homes Collection. The series is an inspiring program of green, prefab homes, pre-designed to fit typical lots in urban areas. The series offers six mix-and-match floor plans, from two bedrooms to six bedrooms, available in a range of configurations for one story and two story homes. Designed as a private urban retreat, the Skyline homes' notable design features include expansive floor to ceiling windows and outdoor decking, to create an outstanding indoor/outdoor experience.

Skyline's green highlights include: insulating glass, optional grid-connected solar panels, responsible woods, low VOC paint, and energy efficient appliances. The modular homes are built in a factory, by Haven Custom Homes, and delivered complete to the site, offering the benefits of standardized construction-yielding substantially less waste versus site-built construction-as well as the elimination of custom design fees.

"We're excited to make Marmol Radziner Prefab homes more accessible than ever, through our unique partnership with Dwell magazine," says Leo Marmol. "Our sustainable, standardized, modern prefab homes for Dwell Homes Collection are significant, launching at a critical period in the housing market."
