Eight Inc. Shortlisted at World Architecture Festival

Architecture firm, Eight Inc. is shortlisted in the Future Education category at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona, Spain, November 4 - 6, 2009.

The shortlisted project, The Malama Learning Center, is a LEED-registered (platinum) project that will serve as an inspirational model for communities worldwide to engage in providing healthy and sustainable learning environments that foster a lifelong ethic of guardianship and care for one another, our community, our planet and our future generations.

Tim Kobe, Founding Principal and Mark Little, Principal, will be presenting the project Thursday, November 5th, 2009 to an international panel of renowned judges.

Speaking about the project, Mark Little said, "The Mālama Learning Center sets a new paradigm for cultural and environmental sustainability on an international level.

We are honored to be shortlisted for an award at such a prestigious event, and believe this recognition speaks to how architecture can have relevance both globally, and locally, to the context and culture it serves."
