Adolescent Creates New Show Packaging for Galaxy Chart on MTV DanceGalaxy Chart, a new top 10 chart show on MTV Dance (UK), highlights those tracks that get everyone out on the dance floor: from truly the awesome beats to the guilty-pleasure tunes.
Adolescent designed a full graphics package for the show from titles to promos that's confidently playful while at the same time reflecting the spirit of a night out at the clubs.
The title sequence reinterprets a multi-story nightclub into a sound-driven graphics structure.
The camera moves up through the abstracted dance floors, each pulsing with different expressions of sound waves in hot colors against a black background.
The overall effect is like moving through a crowded club on a Saturday night surrounded by a swirl of potential energy - lights flashing, music pumping, people bumping.
The top floor is where the dj reigns and the entire floor spins like a turntable, ultimately revealing the Galaxy Chart logo. Designs for segment bumpers and countdown imaging will reference the different floors, each resonating with a variety of musical genres: pop, hip-hop, house.
The look also inspires the set design and printed promotional materials. adolescent's graphics package is flexible, rhythmic and as adaptable as the fast-changing top 10 charts require!
