3D Technology Changes the Way Companies Present Heavy Duty Products

RTT is making it possible for companies in the heavy-duty truck and equipment industry to give its customers the full product experience using 3D photorealistic animations and imagery. RTT supported Western Star at the 2011 ConExpo in Las Vegas last week, and will reveal projects with Navistar at the 2011 Mid-America Trucking Show, March 31-April 2.

"The benefits of RTT's 3D visualization can really make an impact in the heavy duty industry, especially at events like ConExpo and the Mid-America Trucking show, where it's incredibly pricey or impossible for companies to ship and display their products," said Peter Stevenson, co-CEO of RTT. "Having photorealistic, 3D imagery allows potential customers to visualize and experience these products - including massive engines and dump trucks - as if there was a physical model in front of them, resulting in increased onsite sales."

For Western Star's exhibit at ConExpo, RTT created stunning exterior and interior print images of the company's new W4700 truck using 3D computer graphic technology. The images allow customers to visualize available options with complete photorealism.

RTT is also supporting Navistar at the 2011 Mid-America Trucking Show, March 31-April 2, in Louisville, Kentucky. Guests can visit the Navistar booth to view an animation of the company's latest MaxxForce 15-liter engine, created entirely in CG. The MaxxForce animation does what a physical prototype cannot do - peeling away layers of the engine to reveal internal technology in action.
