Flos unveiled Piani, a new lamp designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, composed of a flat base and top in injection-molded plastic. The lamp's base functions as a tray which displays objects in the triangular beam of light that is emitted from the LED light source, giving the illusion that the objects are "on stage."
A convenient receptacle for pens, coins, paper clips, keys or eyeglasses, Piani is at home on a bedside table or in an office setting. Known for their clean and minimalist lines, the Bouroullec Brothers have created an object that is a perfect example of how the simplest design can be both elegant and functional.
Piani will be available in North America starting December 2011.
