RGD Announces Recipients of Inaugural In-House Awards Program

The Association of Registered Graphic Designers (RGD) has revealed the recipients of the 2016 In-House Design Awards, an inaugural awards program showcasing the best design being done in-house.

An esteemed panel of 20 international judges selected 40 projects from over 240 submissions. Awarded projects include: WestJet's Frozen-themed aircraft; Sun Life's agile workspace café; the National Gallery of Canada's Sakahan exhibit; the TVOKids rebrand; York Region's 'I Am Different Like You' campaign; and the LCBO's Growler packaging design.

In recent years, there has been an influx of graphic designers departing the agency world in favour of employment within companies, government and organizations. In 2013, nearly 60% of clients were using in-house marketing capabilities. The In-House Design Awards program provides a unique outlet for internal creatives to showcase their skill and value.
