Karim Rashid Designed the Most Luxurious Gin Bottle of All Times for Bombay SapphireBombay Sapphire, the word's leading premium gin and one of the co-sponsors of the red dot award: design concept, has collaborated with three of the biggest names in the segment of luxury design - the French crystal manufacturer Baccarat, the London jewellery house Garrard, and world-renowned designer Karim Rashid - to create an outstanding design.
The outcome of this collaboration is the limited edition Revelation bottles, the world's most luxurious gin bottles.
The crystal bottle was created by designer and red dot award winner Karim Rashid and features ten principal facets representing the ten botanical ingredients that went into the making of the Bombay Sapphire.
The edition is limited to five bottles handcrafted in France by Baccarat.
Each bottle has its own individually designed stopper adorned with sapphires and diamonds from Garrard, the oldest jewellery house in the world.
The bottles are priced at US$200,000 each.
One Revelation bottle will be exhibited at each of the five international airports for a period of three months.
The first crystal bottle was launched at London's Heathrow Airport on 27 March; the other four bottles will be unveiled in New York, Dubai, Singapore and Sidney.
Profits from Revelation will benefit the travel retail industry's chosen charity, The Smile Train, which provides life-enhancing cleft surgery to children in poor countries.
