Herman Miller Select

In 2008 Herman Miller created Select, a once-a-year limited edition release for those with good taste and an eye for design.

The 2009 edition puts a playful spin on one of Charles's Eames passions: toys.

As an avid toy collector and designer, Charles Eames once said "Toys are not really as innocent as they look.

Toys and games are preludes to serious ideas."

Eames inspiration combined with Herman Miller innovation prompted this year's Select release: a collection of three wooden tops, each with an original sculptural profile, each crafted of exquisite walnut.

Designed by New York City design studio, KleinReid, the tops are both classic and kinetic art.
