BIO20 Awards: 20th Biennial of Industrial DesignOn 5 October 2006 20th Biennial of Industrial Design (BIO 20) was opened at the Architecture Museum of Ljubljana, marking the forty-fourth years of the exhibition.
Awards for the best design achievements were bestowed.
There are 350 exhibits from 17 different countries presented at BIO 20: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, USA and Slovenia.
The presented exhibits are divided into three groups: A - products (232 exhibits), B - visual communication (28 exhibits), C - design concepts (90 exhibits).
The BIO 20 independent international jury - Judit Várhelyi (ICSID, Hungary), Leimei Julia Chiu (Japan), Jacques Lange (Icograda, Republic of South Africa), Carlo Branzaglia (BEDA and EIDD - Design for All Europe, Italy) and Francisco Carrera (Spain) - announced the winners and presented the awards.
