Porsche Design Receives iF Gold Award

The international jury of experts awarded prizes to three products by Porsche Design at this year's "iF Awards": the P'7340 kitchen, the P'6750 watch and the P'9521 mobile phone each received a prestigious "iF Product Design Award".

In fact, the kitchen went a stage further, receiving an "iF Gold Award" during the prize giving ceremony - the equivalent in the world of international product design of a "Design Oscar".

The jury was impressed by the design quality, workmanship, choice of materials and high degree of innovation of the Porsche Design products.

The prize giving ceremony, held once a year by the Industrie Forum Design in Hanover, took place this year on March 4th, 2008 within the "CeBIT" show in Hanover.

The "iF Design Awards" are regarded as one of the most important design competitions in the world.

Roland Heiler, Managing Director of Porsche Design Studio in Zell am See in Austria, commented: "Every product that bears our brand is designed in our studio in Austria.

We focus on technically inspired products which are designed to be timeless, functional and purist.

With Porsche Design products we aspire to create life-long companions and we are delighted that our design philosophy has now received this triple recognition".
