Click 3X hired ace CD Ders Hallgren to lead Click 3X Entertainment, the studio's award-winning broadcast design division. Hallgren will head the group - which includes EP Connor Swegle, Managing Director David Edelstein, Art Director Steve Weinzierl, and Senior Writer/Producer Rob Meyers - in their mission to provide branding strategy, design, and identity to complement Click's animation, design, and visual effects teams.
"We want to continually upgrade each of our various divisions - Click 3X on commercial and feature films, ClickFire Media on Interactive, Haunt on music videos - so that they are industry leaders," noted Click 3X President Peter Corbett. "Ders does that for Click 3X Entertainment, bringing focused leadership, an understanding of the marketplace, and a broad range of skills to the top of the division. We look forward to many successful years under his guidance."
Hallgren has worked with Click 3X previously, creating theatrical trailers for Ken Burns' award-winning Jazz documentary. He has also worked on commercial projects and led and directed image campaigns and packaging for CBS, ABC and HBO.
"I've worked with Peter (Corbett) and Jason (Mayo) before, so when I found out this opportunity was opening up, I couldn't turn it down," noted Hallgren. "I really like the direction that Click is moving in. Their distinct focus and broad range of talents is really exciting to me. I can't wait to get started."
Prior to joining Click 3X Entertainment, Hallgren spent two years as Design Director at Spontaneous as well as two years as Creative Director at Headlight. Prior to that he spent several years as a freelance Art Director/Director with top New York-based design firms. Ders began his career 15 years ago at Pittard Sullivan and then on to Lee Hunt/Razorfish.
