Annie Sloan Signs with TEAK

Writer/Director Annie Sloan, who has been delivering top-notch commercial work at TEAK for the past year, has recently signed with the studio for exclusive representation. In her exclusive role she will continue to churn out the largely comedic advertising work - similar to her viral and marketing campaign for The Sims 3 - that defines her portfolio.

"After spending a year with TEAK, it became pretty obvious that this was a perfect fit for both sides," noted Sloan. "The studio is defined by a commitment to creative freedom and a superb range of resources, and I am happy to call it home."

Sloan's commercial directing roster also includes spots for Northstar, JanSport, Electronic Arts, and HGTV, for agencies the likes of Organic, Eleven, and Creature.

She has written projects for General Electric, Mervyns, Flip Camera, and the television shows Curb Appeal, Landscape Smart, Find Your Style and Designed to Sell.

"At TEAK, our goal is to attract top talent from across the production spectrum, from edit to animation to directing, and Annie fit right in from the first day," noted EP Greg Martinez. "She is smart, funny, energetic and highly productive - all assets in our fast-paced, ever-evolving industry."

Though Sloan will focus on advertising in her role at TEAK, she has also written and directed projects for broadcast television, radio and print. Her work has screened to more than 1.4 million nightly viewers and her scripts have been performed on stage and live radio. She has previously spent time as a director and writer for reality TV and as a creative at Lucasfilm Animation. She began her career at Will Vinton Claymation (now Laika) in Portland, Ore and is a graduate of the USC School of Cinema Television.
