"Because design has become a more strategic tool for business, IDEA stands out as an awards program that digs deeper to recognize the real benefits of design. The awards strive to single out designs that make a difference for the people who use them and for the companies that produce them, and most importantly, that make the world a better place to live in," said IDEA Chair Davin Stowell, founder and CEO of Smart Design. "I'm honored to chair such an important awards program; having participated in it for nearly 30 years, I know how important it is for every designer submitting to feel their design will be looked at carefully and be given a fair shake."

"IDEA is one of the premier industrial design awards program in the world," said IDEA Juror Michelle Berryman, founding principal of Echo Visualization LLC. "It has achieved this status over the years due to the high quality of the entries, the rigor of the jury process and the objectivity of IDSA as the program sponsor. It's a serious award and it is conducted professionally, honorably and ethically-and the design and business communities know this."
