Phoenix Design Week 2012

Phoenix Design Week 2012

Presented by Lost Creature and the Arizona chapter of AIGA, Phoenix Design Week exhibits an impressive roster of events and internationally respected keynote speakers to the Phoenix Convention Center from September 24 through September 30, 2012.

Weekday events range from Pedal Craft, a celebration of bikes, design and downtown Phoenix to a road trip to Tucson for a series of rapid-fire presentations. Phoenix Design Week's annual poster contest brings design to the masses where local graphic designers are encouraged to produce and submit an event poster conveying this year's "Here & Now" theme for public vote.

Phoenix Design Week wraps up with a weekend conference which includes an entire track of Adobe software training and lineup of inspirational keynote speakers and local influencers in the design scene. Think internationally-recognized Eddie Opara, Pentagram designer whose work is in MoMA's permanent collection, and Rich Roat, the co-founder of House Industries known throughout the world for its eclectic typeface collections and inspiring exploits into product design.

"We want to continue the growth of the Phoenix Design Community after the success of the past three years," said Mark Dudlik, Founder of Phoenix Design Week and Executive Director of Lost Creature. "With dynamic events and a high calibre conference of speakers, Phoenix Design Week is considered one of the best design weeks in the country."
