Garden Design: The Art of Color, Variety and Form

Cooper-Hewitt Design Center yesterday hosted Marie Warsh, landscape historian and Director of Preservation Planning for the Central Park Conservancy for a talk about the history and design of the Conservatory Garden in Central Park, as part of its Harlem Focus Series.

The curator and gardeners from the Central Park Conservancy talked about the landscape design of the Central Park Conservatory Gardens and how it compliments and contrasts with Frederick Law Olmsted's overall design for Central Park.

The Harlem Focus programming series highlights designers, architects and artists whose work engages and affects the local Harlem community.
