Design for Good by Aquent

Aquent is calling for submissions for its Design for Good grants program. The program will offer five $5,000 grants to nonprofits to hire graphic designers who are passionate about the nonprofits' work and propose design projects.

"Great graphic design can help the world in so many ways," stated John Chuang, Aquent's co-founder and CEO. "It can help not just a company launch a product or increase its visibility, it can also help nonprofit organizations impact their communities and the world. And we at Aquent want to aid in that."

The Design for Good grants will be awarded to winning nonprofit organizations based on video submissions of proposed projects by graphic designers who want to help those nonprofits. Each video submission should include details about the nonprofit, and details of the applicant's vision for the design project. Any designer from throughout the world can apply for a grant on behalf of any officially registered nonprofit throughout the world. All video submissions must be in English.

The program will accept submission videos through Jan. 20, 2017.

A panel of volunteer judges from the design and creative industries will evaluate submissions based on their potential impact, feasibility and creativity. Grant recipients will be announced in late February 2017.
